Sessions for registered Coaches and Mentors:

The Continuing Professional Development (CPD) opportunities on this page are intended to support the skillset of coaches and mentors who have registered with the EoE Coaching and Mentoring Hub and are currently operating across East of England health and system partner organisations offering a framework to help support clients and organisations.

Places are limited so please only book if you are able to commit to attending the full session.

This CPD offer is for coaches and mentors who are registered with the EoE Coaching and Mentoring Hub and are actively supporting staff working in systems across the region. It is not tailored for clinical supervision.

This Mentoring Masterclass, facilitated by Lesley Cave, is aimed at new and developing mentors who are active on the EoE Coaching and Mentoring Hub. The session will be interactive, bring you up to date with current thinking and will afford you the opportunity to reflect on your practice as a mentor, whilst gaining or topping up your skills in key areas of mentorship so you can mentor with confidence and make a real difference.

In this masterclass, you will: 

  • Look at the different ‘Schools’ of mentoring, considering the similarities and differences in each 
  • Look at the definition, skills, and attitudes of being a mentor (i.e. the job description of a mentor) 
  • Discuss the co-creation of the mentoring contract 
  • Think about how to co-create a partnership where power differentials are redressed to enable the right work to take place 
  • Explore psychological safety and what that means in mentoring relationships 
  • Build key skills and competencies of being a great mentor including 
  • Listening skills 
  • Questioning skills 
  • Moving to action & accountability 
  • Work on the reflective practice of being a mentor
  • Explore ethical practice 

Wednesday 8 October 2025 9.00 am – 4.00 pm

This 2-hour masterclass, led by Leadership Associate Wendy Parry, is aimed at coaches and mentors who have been actively supporting staff through the East of England Coaching and Mentoring Hub within the last 12 months.

Wendy is passionate about supporting and inspiring others to grow their skills and confidence, particularly in leadership. Wendy is a qualified coach and is a member of the East of England and Kent, Surrey & Sussex coaching networks.  She is also an experienced Healthcare Leadership Model 360 feedback facilitator and trainer. 

The main aims of the masterclass are:

  • To introduce experienced coaches/mentors to a range of tools and models that will enable them to support clients who are reflecting on their career development 
  • To explore how these tools and models can be used with clients to consider the impact of their career experiences and choices, focusing on career past, present and future
  • To consider the importance of motivational and confidence factors in the context of career development
  • To provide an opportunity to network with fellow coaches/mentors and share practical ideas and insights on using the tools and models in practice
