GMTS East of England Welcome Event, 9 September 2021
This virtual event, run in addition to the national induction event, will be an opportunity to get to know who’s who in the region and where to go for help and support. The morning session on MS Teams will provide an introduction to programme managers, scheme alumni, and colleagues from the Leadership Academy in the East of England.
In the afternoon, we move over to Zoom for a session hosted by the wonderful Kate Atkin. Kate comes from a farming background in Lincolnshire and recently moved back to the county. She had a successful career with Barclays Bank plc before starting her own learning and development business in September 2000. In 2015 she completed an MSc in Applied Positive Psychology which has brought insights into well-being, meaning and positivity that she incorporates into her work. Kate’s many clients include Cambridge University Judge Business School and NHS England and Improvement. Now in the fourth year of her part-time PhD investigating the imposter phenomenon in the workplace, Kate plans to bring together her diverse insights in a session focused on Building Networks and Personal Presence. In this interactive session, Kate Atkin will cover a number of ways to ensure your networking efforts work for you. Come prepared to examine your personal presence and to identify tweaks to build this both online and face to face.
Finally, we will hear some closing remarks from Alison Lathwell, Head of Leadership and Lifelong Learning in the East of England, and the GMTS team. We look forward to seeing a collection of new and familiar faces at this exciting event!
Please make sure to RSVP if you would like to attend this event. You will not receive joining instructions unless you RSVP.
