Coaching Skills Refresher – Masterclass
Coaching Skills Refresher – Masterclass for Coaches from CoachNet
In the workshop you will get the opportunity to pose the questions and dilemmas you have faced whilst you have been coaching. We will work on some of the myths in the coaching system that suggest coaching has to be complex. In fact, we will experiment with the simplicity of coaching, which is actually the coach’s best friend in relation to succeeding with transformational conversations for your client.
Aims & Learning objectives:
- Refresh ourselves of the fundamentals of the coaching journey
- Re-examine a definition of coaching
- Re-establish the mindset of a coach
- Revisit the importance of a coaching contract
- Re-check the essence of coaching competencies
- An opportunity to myth bust and elicit top tips
Plus, there will be an opportunity to co-create the agenda in the room around a menu of choice:
Connecting, definitions and distinctions, co-designing goals, active listening, questioning, introduction to core coaching competencies, listening at depth, well-formed outcomes, giving feedback, structuring a coaching conversation, communication styles, creating alternatives and action plans, working with the inner critic, listening for assumptions and values, states of mind, coaching styles, listening for beliefs, Immunity to Change, Brief Solution-Focussed approach, minimising ourselves and others, listening for positives, Karpman’s Drama Triangle, behaviours, identity and mission, ethics, coaching in context, observed coaching, and personal development plans
This masterclass will be hosted by Lesley Cave, an experienced and dedicated Professional Certificated Coach (PCC) with the ICF, a certificated coach supervisor, mentor coach and coach trainer.
Lesley is a Professionally Certificated Coach with the International Coach Federation. She works full time as a coach, coach supervisor, mentor coach and coach trainer. She has over 2500 hours of coaching experience in the public, private and charity sectors.
Lesley knows it can be counter intuitive to sign up to a ‘back to basics’ anything, yet it is often the essence of the very core of our activities that we overlook or need to brush up on. On that basis, Lesley will help you strip your coaching back to the basics for an interactive reminder about the key features of coaching. The workshop will aim to remind us of all of what really makes a difference when you work with a coaching client in transformational way.
