Organisational Development Community of Practice Meeting

The Inaugural East of England meeting.

Do you lead on change management, service development or workforce transformation? If so, you are likely to also be working in Organisation Development (OD)!

In response to requests from colleagues, the East of England Systems Leadership Team at the Leadership Academy, are supporting the establishment of an OD Community of Practice.  This community is not just for those who have OD in their job title or who may be a professional HR & OD practitioner, this community is wider for all colleagues working in Care, Health and the VCSE sector to come together and share learning on how to take forward and support Organisation Development in the six Integrated Care Systems in East of England.

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development describe OD as “Organisation Development (OD) is where interventions are developed with a ‘systematic mindset’ – they create alignment with the organisations goals and activities in a planned and intentional way

Roffey Park define OD as “the work of facilitating organisational success, by aligning structural, cultural and strategic realities of work to respond to the needs of an ever-evolving business climate”.

Come and join us at our first virtual event where you will join a masterclass around facilitating collaboration including local case studies and examples from across EoE, have an opportunity to network with others and find out more about support for your own personal development. We will introduce you to the OD App, a new web based professional development tool, and launch Action Learning Sets.

Participants comments from the day:

Utilising what I learned about myself during the Action Learning Sets session will shape the way in which I communicate in the future’.

Very insightful, informative and would recommend to others‘.

Being part of a collaborative community will give me thinking space to be able to influence and make a difference across our system’.

Our OD COP is supported by several bite size virtual sessions below:

NEWFollow up OD Action Learning Sets

Did you join us in June for the inaugural ICS OD community of practice event?  If you did and are interested in participating in an action learning set our delivery partners Tricordant have the following availability:

Proposed dates for ALS – we can accommodate 5 people per set

2-4pm 19th September – Facilitated by Roger Greene

2-4pm 20th September – Facilitated by Andrea Barker

2-4pm 3rd October – Facilitated by Sarah Amies

The aim is that each action learning set will self-facilitate their sets following the initial session.  Ideally there needs to be a mix of participants to avoid direct report relationships and sensitivities.  All sessions will be on Zoom.   A reminder this is open to all colleagues working in health and social care and wider system partner organisations.  Even if OD is not in your job title but you lead on change, transformation and development our community of practice is for you!
